I grew up with Tufty the squirrel and the 'Charlie says...' public information films in the 1970s. Very strange and disturbing, I always thought.
'Charlie and I set each other on fire. Never set each other on fire'.
However, the 1950s public information films are well worth a look, and much more direct. Check out the Coughs and Sneezes video - it's brilliant.
