During Bush's recent flurry of speeches defending his record, he conducted a series of NBC interviews with a slightly sycophantic but actually quite astute interviewer.
I like Bush's response when he's asked, "What about when you said that we would be welcomed into Iraq?"
"We were welcomed. It's a hostile welcome in many places, but we were welcomed."
